H undreds of unidentified bodies which seem to have been tortured have been found in a former Islamic State group stronghold, Syrian state media says, Syria dont need prayers or sympathy but The unrest in Syria, part of a wider wave of the 2011 Arab Spring protests, grew out of discontent with the Assad government and escalated to an armed conflict after protests calling for his removal were violently suppressed. The war is being fought by several factions.Syria held a presidential election in government-held areas on 3 June 2014. For the first time in the history of Syria more than one person was allowed to stand as a presidential candidate.More than 9,000 polling stations were set up in government-held areas. 11.63 million Syrians voted (the turnout was 73.42%). President won the election with 88.7% of the votes. The Iranian official read a statement by the group saying the election was "free, fair and transparent". The United States all dismissed the election as illegitimate and a farce. Amongst other concerns, due to rebel, Kurdish and ISIL control of Syrian territories there was no voting in roughly 60% of the country.
